• Aransas Wildlife Refuge ($3.00 individual, $5.00 car) 1 ½ hour drive to and back (birds, javelinas, deer, alligators, armadillos, turkeys, vultures) Opens ½ hour before sunrise to ½ after sunset. Accepts park pass members.
• Padre Island (beach, shore birds, sanddunes) FREE
• Padre Island National Seashore ($10.00 national park fee)
