Photographic Society of America (PSA)
This is an international organization for photographers both amateur and professional. You become a member by being nominated by a fellow member. If you are a member you may use their logo as a way to identify yourself as a photographer.
One of the advantages of being a member is that you can enter your photographs in salons around the world. There are many different types of photographs that are accepted. You receive a monthly magazine and the information on the salons is located in the back.
The C.C. Camera Club has an award that is given to a member who receives their first acceptance into a salon. It is named after members who believed in PSA. Jake and Dorothy Endres were members for many years until their death. An account was created to purchase the medals for this. It is money that is for this award and only this award. Their son gave us permission to sell some of his father's prints to members to start the fund. If the money ever becomes moot, then it is to be refunded to the son.
Members or ex-members who have received the award are Ruben Barrera, Earl Parr, Lynette Browning, Bill Browning, and Betsy Dorrell. If I left anyone off this list it was not intentional, just fuzzy memory.
